A Movie With A Moral - Ferrari Ki Sawari

Oh!! It had literally been years having seen a movie with a meaning...certainly not after 3 Idiots.
Yesterday, a 9'o clock show was worth paying for ! Having nothing to do, we all planned  (though the plan was so sudden!) to go for a movie that my cousins had liked.
But I certainly didn't expect myself to like it so much.

This movie mainly raised two questions

a)     Is “dreaming big” a crime? - Kayo,an innocent boy born to a middle class family, was excellent in cricket. He was considered as a champion in his cricket club. He always dreamt of playing for his nation. His father who was a RTO clerk did all his best to nurture his son’s ambitions.  He kept motivating his son to strive harder and never lose hope. But as we all know, Indian middle class though constitute a major part of the society , yet have to face numerous struggles. Even though Kayo got selected for a LORD’s camp in London, it was herculean task to finally get through. The manager of this camp was a childhood rival of Kayo’s grandpa and initially refused to let Kayo go for the prestigious camp. But Kayo’s father’s poignant statements defeat the manager’s evil intentions.
b)     Can you go against destiny? – Well, if we can’t go against destiny we can certainly change our destiny. The father ( Rustam alias sharman joshi) collects every penny of his savings in the piggy bank to buy his son a bat for his match. He tries to give him maximum attention which eventually reaps outstanding results. Rustam plays the role of a father as well as a mother for Kayo and an obedient son for Kayo’s grandpa (alias Boman Irani). He very well knew that life without a parent would be tough but the father’s never-say-quit attitude is highly inspiring.

A film that compels you to think and take back a lesson as you exit the hall. In this dog-eat-dog world, there is cut-throat competition in every field. The Ferrari here is more than a car… it is a metaphorical image of the dreams and ambitions of middle class people. Their aspirations may be larger-than-life but they are certainly not unachievable. If our goal is clear then path is carved out by God. This is proved by the tapestry of “Ferrari Ki Sawari.”The movie touches the soul and strikes a chord with the common man.
For all the youngsters, it is a wakeup call to respect their parents for all sacrifices they have made for us. For all the adults, it is a poignant account of a father-son bond which goes beyond just a blood relation. And yes a line I just can't forget is "lets look at the brighter side of everything" .....and the story goes on and on ...

  2. Along with dreaming big, we must constantly appreciate the efforts of our near and dears who help us realise our dream.
